Northside Automotive’s Charity of the MONTH ($1 donated for every invoice posted) for April 2012 was Big Brothers Big Sisters - A non-profit organization whose mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that try to have a measurable impact on youth. Northside Automotive’s Charity of the Month for May was the Montello Rotary Fireworks fund. Northside donated $2 per invoice posted in May. Pictured is Patty Fritsche (Right - Montello Rotary Treasurer) accepting the $572 check toward this year’s fireworks show from Sean and Lisa Smith of Northside (Left) – Sean is also a member of the Montello Rotary. This year’s fireworks show will be the biggest yet. Fireworks will start at dark at the Montello City Park. There will also be concessions and glow necklaces available. Northside Automotive’s Charity of the Month for November was the Montello Endowment for Education. Pictured on the left and right are members of the Montello Endowment for education board Barbara Church (L) and Deb Daniels (R) accepting the $276 check from Lisa Smith of Northside Automotive (middle). Northside donates $1 per invoice posted in the month. The Montello Endowment for Education was established in 2012. Its purpose is to offer donors a tax deductible option to provide funds or other assets to the students & staff of the Montello School District; for the purpose of financing academic programs, enrichment activities, and academic and professional opportunities.
Northside Automotive’s December Charity of the month ($1 per invoice posted) was the Marquette County Literacy Volunteers. Pictured Left to right is Rita Socha – Literacy volunteer receiving a $294 check from Lisa Smith of Northside. The Literacy Volunteers – Marquette County have done a great job this year. Things they did in 2015 include 943.65 hours of tutoring, an annual tots to teens book drive, Essay Contest, Health literacy sessions, Montello Library story time, Provided 55 book sets to Head Start students, Family Adventure Day. Northside Automotive's Charity of the month for January was Budda Box. Pictured is Mark Robinson (right) accepting a donation from Lisa Smith (left) for $229. 2016 is the 25th anniversary of Budda-Box Against Cancer. There are many upcoming events. Northside Automotive's Charity of the Month of July ($1 per invoice posted) was JDRF - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Sean and Lisa spent the day at the walk in Madison with Family and Friends supporting their daughter who lives with Type 1 Diabetes. Northside donated $274 of the over $4100 that team Hayley's Heroes raised for the JDRF walk September 18th. Pictured is the team of generous supporters who attended the walk.
Northside Automotive's February Charity of the Month was the Marquette County Family Adventure Day. Pictured L to R is Lauren Calnin accepting the $159 donation from Lisa Smith of Northside Automotive. Family Adventure Day is a family oriented event that provides fun and interactive activities and education. This year's Family Adventure day will take place on Saturday April 21st from 10am to 1pm at the Montello High School Gym. Family Adventure Day is a collaboration between High Marq Environmental Charter School and the Marquette County Family Connections Coalition.
